On New Year’s Day, there had been a fight between a group of teenagers, causing uncontrolled chaos after fireworks at Miami Bayside Marketplace. The incident led to the arrest of at least four teenagers who got involved in the fight, as reported by NBC South Florida.
Countless officers in a dozen patrol cars, which were deployed from various parts of Miami, rushed to the scene at around 8:30 p.m. in response to a 911 report of possible shots fired. but the cops have confirmed that it was just fireworks.
According to reports, the police ultimately had to make arrests of at least four teenagers; one 14-year-old, one 16-year-old, and two 15-year-olds were both charged with robbery, third-degree grand larceny, and assault, but one of them resisted arrest without violence.
Chronologically, the night of rioting occurred after fireworks were set off to welcome the new year 2024. On Tuesday, January 2, 2024, the young generation came down and created chaos, causing some damage to businesses and the loss of property around the Miami Bayside Marketplace.
The teenager’s arrest began when an officer saw around 15 teenagers beating a driver. The officer tried to stop them by using a car speaker to get them to stop what they were doing. They immediately ran away, but police managed to chase the teenagers until they ended up in the parking garage, 30 SW First St., and began escorting about 50 teenagers out of the mall.
After the arrest, the driver stated that two of the teenagers had beaten him because he confronted them for throwing bottles at his car. He also revealed that one of them stole a blue iPhone 13 Pro Max from the center console of his car.
Police reported that the driver was injured, but he refused to be treated by Miami Fire Rescue paramedics. Apart from that, several shops were damaged and had to be closed due to the incident.
To keep privacy regarding the identities of the four teenagers, the police didn’t release their names and also didn’t identify them since they’re minors. The crowd, especially teenagers who were causing trouble, was successfully dispersed by the police at 10:30 p.m.

What happened was that everyone was panicking since there were grey creatures walking around, so people were running around chaotically, but the police accused a group of teenagers of causing the riot.
