How to Sign Up for Community Service at Goodwill

Goodwill is known as the best location for those who need to complete community service or volunteer hours. If you are a high school student who needs volunteer hours to graduate or you are the one from a local volunteer or community service referral agency, the good news is that Goodwill accepts clients on regular basic into its Community Service or Volunteer Program.
Everyone has the chance to help people build skills, earn jobs and strengthen their finance. They can do these things at local Goodwill across the United States and Canada. If you are a professional and want to become a volunteer, you can invest your pro bono assistance to help improving the social and environment impact of Goodwill.

There are two ways that you can do. The first one is to call (661) 837-05965 ext. 123 and the second one is to send an email to jmercer@giscc.org.
Talking about community service at Goodwill, there are a few kinds of community services at this one. One of them is court-ordered community service. As you can guess from its name, this kind of court is ordered by court. The location is at Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake, Inc. retail locations only. These include Central Maryland and the Eastern Shore.
For those who are interested in signing up for community service at Goodwill, you have to keep in mind a few things below:
• You must be 16 years or older.
• Background Checks will be made on all applicants, including you.
• Community service will be approved at the discretion of Goodwill.
• Everyone who is convicted to theft, armed robbery, robbery, burglary, or sexually based offenses is not eligible to do community service at Goodwill.
• If you are located in Wicomico, Worcester or Somerset County, you can apply the application online. It should be noted that these three counties are the only ones that their online applications will be accepted. It means there is no way for those who are not located in these three counties and fill out an application to be approved. In addition, incomplete applications will also not be accepted. Take note that Goodwill only accepts court-ordered individuals for community service in its stores. It means there is no way for it to accept self-referrals or lawyer referrals.
