Escaping from West Tennessee State Penitentiary by Using Tractor
On August 7, 2019, an inmate incarcerated at West Tennessee State Penitentiary named Curtis Ray Watson was found working at a place that belongs to a longtime prison official named Debra Johnson. Three hours after he was seen in the morning, that prison official was found strangled. What made it clear was that that inmate disappeared at the same time as per NBC News. Hence, he is considered to be responsible for Johnson’s death.
Curtis Ray Watson was known as an inmate who was sentenced 15 years for aggravated kidnapping. He managed to escape from the prison in Henning, Tennessee. His escape was kind of unique because he did it with a tractor. When he disappeared, police were after him. At the time, they released some pictures that show his tattoos just in case he changed his appearance. Someone with a pair of good eyes spotted an escaped inmate in his yard. Hours after that, police managed to find and arrest him.
Escaping from Alcatraz
On June 11, 1962, Frank Morris and the two brothers named John and Clarence Anglin who were known as the inmates of the most strict prison called Alcatraz prison made their escape. Their escape was known as one of the greatest in history. Before making their escape, they planned everything beforehand. On the day of the escape, they squeezed through air vents and then went to the Pacific Ocean. There, they boarded a raft made by themselves from the raincoats that they stole before. Since then, they disappeared. Many people believe they drowned in the icy waters because their vehicle washed up ashore. The family of Anglin brothers is sure that their family members survived and have proof. However, the FBI have no idea what to believe.
Escaping from Moria Shock Incarceration Facility
On February 6, 1997, an inmate that was sentenced four years for drug possession named Figueroa disappeared from the Moria Shock Incarceration Facility located in Mineville, New York. Right after realizing his absence, authorities checked the area. However, they found nothing. They believe he left the world forever during the escape due to falling through a mine shaft close to the facility. Since then, he was never seen or heard from again, making him the only one who escapes and never be found.
Escaping from Florida’ Polk Correctional Facility
The punishment of an inmate named Glen Stark Chambers was changed from a death penalty to commuted to life. However, it was not enough for him. On February 21, 33 years ago, he escaped the Florida’ Polk Correctional Facility by asking for his fellow inmates to load a crate with him in it onto a truck. After that, his clothes were found in the truck. After his escape, many have reported seeing him in Florida and Alabama where he has family in Minnesota and Florida.
