However, the most popular one according to the Securus site is AdvanceConnect. AdvanceConnect

This is the most popular Securus Securus phone account where it is a prepaid calling account. If you choose this option, all calls will connect to all phone types such as landline phones, cell phones, and Internet phones (such as VoIP carriers) pending facility restrictions. Adding some phone numbers can also be done by you to your account so that you are able to be reached wherever you are. It is important for you to note that when you are creating an account or adding a phone number to your account, but then the number has been in the Securus system, the thing that will happen is that you will get an error message. If you get an error message, you are able to call Securus Customer Service line at 972-734-1111.

Securus Debit

Securus Debit is an account that belongs to the inmate where it is used by them to make phone calls to anyone (pending facility restrictions) and pay for Securus services which are offered at their facility. This account can be used by the inmates to buy stamps, for messaging, tablet media and also Video Connect sessions. However, it is important for you to note that service availability varies. An inmate may be able to transfer funds from their facility trust/ commissary account into a Securus Debit account as long as the facility allows it. It can be done via making a request through their commissary. You are also able to transfer money to this account so that the inmate can buy the communication services.

Direct Bill

There is also a Direct Bill account where it permits you to be able to receive collect calls from an inmate. If you choose this account, you will have the charges billed directly to you each month from Securus. This account is suitable for you if the inmate that you know is incarcerated for longer than two years. Besides, it is also suitable for bail bondsman, an attorney, consulate, social worker, other small business, or government agency. If you are interested in this account and you are sure that you want to sign up for this account, you are able to contact 972-734-1111 from your mobile phone or 1-800-844-6591 from your landline phone. If you choose a Direct Bill account, the bill needs to be paid on or before the due date. If not, your line will be blocked and your Direct Bill account will be converted to a Family & Friends AdvanceConnect account automatically. You will not receive calls until you pay the past due charges and for all future calls you receive needs to be paid for in advance using a Family & Friends AdvanceConnect.
