As JailATM users, you may need JailATM FAQs so that you are able to use JailATM optimally. JailATM does not have FAQs section on the site, but it has a Support section where it contains a lot of information about JailATM such as how to create an account, how to add payment methods, how you make a deposit, and many more.

Below, I have some FAQs about JailATM where the information is based on the JailATM Support page.

  • How do we make a deposit?
    If you want to make a deposit, here are the steps to follow.

o  First, you need to sign in to your account.
o  After signing in, you must choose the Send Money Now button.
o  And then, you need to choose the suitable state and facility.
o  Here, you have to enter at least 3 characters of the resident’s last name or their ID.
o  And then, you need to enter your payment information and amount of the deposit. Then, you have to click the check box if you have read the terms and conditions. Don’t forget to click the Ok button.
o  Now, you are able to review the details of the payment and after you check that it is right, you can hit the Send Money button.

If it is successful, you will be directed to a receipt screen. On that screen, you are able to print the receipt or return to the home screen.

  • Where is my deposit?
    You may have sent a deposit, but it has not arrived yet. It is important for you to note that most deposits arrive in 24 to 48 hours of processing. Let’s say that the deposit is missing after this. If it happens, you have to contact the facility as soon as possible to initiate an investigation. If you find that the facility cannot solve the issue after 72 business hours, the JailATM team will investigate the missing deposit.
  • How do we set up messaging subscriptions?
    If you want to set up a messaging subscription on JailATM, here are the steps to follow.

o  First, you must sign in to your JailATM account.
o  After that, you need to click on the My Account.
o  Then, click on the Messaging option.
o  Here, you must click on the Messaging Subscription.
o  And now, you have to click on the “Yes Turn on Messaging”.

Let’s say that you have not entered your payment information. If so, you will be required to do that after step 5. And if it is successfully completed, you will go back to the My Account page.

  • How do we send a message?

o  First, you have to sign in to your JailATM account.
o  After signing in, My Account must be clicked.
o  Now, Messaging must be clicked.
o  And then, you have to click on the Send Message site.
o  You need to select the State and Facility. After that, you need to enter the Last Name or ID of the recipient. It is important for you to note that this option will be available if the facilities and states support this feature.
o  Now, Search must be clicked.
o  You need to click on the recipient from the list available.
o  The thing that you must do here is to type or paste the message that you want to send.
o  And the last, you have to click on the Send button.

Note that your message may be reviewed first before it is received by the recipient.

  • How do we Schedule a Video Call?

o  First, of course you need to sign in.
o  Then, you need to click on the Calling.
o  And then, click on the Schedule a Call.
o  You need to choose the State and Facility and then enter the Last Name or ID of the resident.
o  Click on Search after that.
o  You must click on the resident that you want to schedule a call to.
o  You have to choose whether In Facility or Out of Facility. If you choose In Facility, it means that you want to schedule a call that will happen at the facility. If you choose Out of Facility, you will schedule a call that you will connect to from your computer.
o  Here, you need to choose a date and time for the scheduled call.
o  Let’s say that your JailATM account has funds which is not enough for scheduling the call. If so, you will be prompted to choose or enter a payment method. You have to follow the instructions on the screen to complete the transaction and schedule your call.

  • How do we connect to a scheduled call?
    If you want to connect to a scheduled call, the first thing to do is to log in to your JailATM account within 5 minutes of the call start time. After that, you need to click on My Account and then Click Calling. Now, you have to click My Scheduled Calls. And then, you need to click the Connect button.
