Finding an Inmate in JSO Facilities: Here’s How!

It’s pretty straightforward to find an inmate housed in JSO facilities. You can simply visit the official website of Jacksonville’s Sheriff’s Office here. There are four methods to search for a JSO’s inmate, including:

Method 1: Search by Name

Searching for an inmate by name is the easiest and fastest way to find an inmate incarcerated in JSO facilities. You do not need the full name of an inmate, but you can instead enter an inmate’s last name, first name, or middle name in the available search box.

To do so, you only need to click the “Search by Name” option. Then, enter the name of the inmate in the search box. After that, you can click the “Search” button. Just doing that will bring up a list of inmates in JSO whose names match your search.

For example, we enter an inmate whose name contains “Smith” in the last name box. And, the list shows only one inmate with the full name “Aaron Carolyn Smith Johnson.” To see the detailed information about an inmate, you can click on the name.

Method 2: Search by Number

In addition to searching for an inmate by name, you can also find them by number. However, this can only be done by those of you who really know the inmate’s ID number and jail number. If not, it will bring up a result that may not be the inmate you mean.

To do so, you need to click the “Search by Number” option. Then, enter an inmate’s jail number or JSO ID in the available bar and click “Search.” If you input the correct jail number or JSO ID of an inmate, the page will show you the inmate you’re searching for. If the result is not what you expected, searching for an inmate by name can be a great option for you.

Method 3: In-Sheet Search

The “In-Sheet Search” method refers to finding an inmate based on the time when an inmate was arrested by an agency. If you prefer to search for an inmate with this method, you have to really know when the inmate you’re looking for was arrested.

To do so, you can only click the “In-Sheet” option. After that, you need to choose a date or approximate date when the inmate was arrested. By doing so, it will automatically show you a list of inmates who were arrested on the date, month, and year you entered. From the list, you can see whether or not there is an inmate you’re looking for.

Method 4: EOS 30 Days

This method is only used to search for inmates who were released within 30 days from the JSO facilities—not a list of inmates who are still in jail. To find an inmate who was released, you do not need to enter the name or the ID number of the inmate.

After clicking the “EOS 30 Days” option, it will automatically show a list of released inmates from JSO. So, you can only search for the inmate you’re looking for from the list by scrolling it down. Usually, it will only show the inmate’s name, jail number, JSO ID, and release date.

Okay, those are all methods of searching for an inmate who is currently incarcerated in JSO facilities and who was released in 30 days. After knowing how to find an inmate in JSO, now is a great time for you to start looking for the information of an inmate that you may need for certain purposes. Good Luck!!!
